Fire Department

DIAL 911 for Police, Fire or Medical Emergency

 

Dear Resident / Occupant :

ALL Open Air Burning in the Township of Perry now requires a fire permit.  This includes fire pits, barrels, incineratorsand other outdoor burning apparatus or appliance.

Permits are available Free of Charge, for a maximum of 7 days, at the following locations in the Township :
       
    Annie’s Hairstyling (16 Boundary Road, Novar)
    Rickward’s Small motors (1914 Hwy 518 East)
    Township Transfer Station (775 Hwy 592)
    Almaguin Highlands Information Center (1007 Hwy 11)
    Perry Township Municipal Office (90 Old Gov’t Road)

All permits will be cancelled and no new permits will be issued during a fire ban.

Household garbage, plastic, tar, rubber, styrofoam, treated materials, and construction materials may not be burned. This provision will be strictly enforced. Please be considerate of your neighbours.

Under the Ontario Fire Code, every home in Ontario is required to have working smoke alarms on every level and outside all sleeping areas. SMOKE ALARMS SAVE LIVES. Plan your escape. Create an escape plan and practice it with everyone in your home.
